TSP funds in Morningstar Xray

Post by communipaw » Thu Aug 21, 2014 5:03 pm

I've added in all my holdings to Morningstar hoping to get a clearer view of the categories I own through Xray. But I got stopped when tying to put in my TSP, since there are no ticker names.

Is it possible to add the F, G, C, I and S TSP funds to Morningstar's portfolio for an Xray view?
EDIT after I posted the question, I found this answer. Does it sound reasonable?

TSP S (TSM Completion Index): VEXMX or VXF

(TSM Completion Index is Total Stock Market less SP500, or close to the Extended Market Index)

TSP F (Barclays US Aggregate Bond Index): VBMFX or BND

TSP G (stable value) can be entered as AAA bond of 5 yr maturity with an appropriate coupon and the value as units at price of $1; then every quarter, enter the increase in value as an additional bond purchase.

I don't think so, but you can use the ticker symbols of equivalent funds as proxies.

Yes, your blue sounds reasonable.

C Fund = VFINX
S Fund = VXMEX
F Fund = Total Bond Market
I fund = EAFE (EFA)
G fund has no exact analog: analogous to VFITX in terms of yield, short term Treasury in terns of risk.
Most of my posts assume no behavioral errors.
