Bogleheads:

Morningstar has published its annual study (69 pages) of Target Date Funds. Only two companies earned Morningstar's highest "Gold" award for overall performance: Vanguard is one of them!

The link to the study is in this Morningstar article:

Are Target-Date Funds Aging Well?

Best wishes

Thanks for the heads up Taylor. As always, you put up some great stuff.

Vanguard's TRF are still my favorite go-to funds when people ask for guidance. They are cheap, simple, fool-poof, and diversified and offer a range of AA that will suit (most) everyone.

Thanks Taylor. This is good to know, because one day I might consider one of these funds. I sure wish my 401K included these. My favorite all in one fund is the Vanguard Balanced Index Fund, but these are a very close second. I love the fact that Vanguard doesn't feel the need to make these funds look overcomplicated. In reality they are basically your very own three fund portfolio.

On a side note, my 401K just introduced their versions of all-in-one funds using all ETFs and paraphrasing what Rick Ferri said about them: Who created this mess.
