Yes, VG fixed the ability to edit outside investments you update yourself over a month ago. Been working just fine for me since Oct 17th.

Well I have seen intermittent issues over the last month, so wanted to know if anyone is using this frequently enough to conclude it's fixed. Hope so since both you and I find it working as of now.

I tried logging in just now, and when I clicked on the link to "Edit Holdings" it just spun, and the page refused to load. I tried multiple browsers.

I have never seen those symptoms when it was broken for me.
Just inability to edit and/or edits lost but pages always loaded for me.

Just tried it now, and it still works fine for me. I've been editing "outside investments you update yourself" about once per week without problems since it got fixed in mid-Oct. Not sure why it's not working for you.

Same for me as for @beyou. The problem for me back in early Oct when VG first did their update was not inability to load the pages but inability to save my edits. As I previously said, that got fixed for me on Oct 17 right after I put in a ticket with VG. My ability to edit outside investments has consistently worked fine since then, including just now. I use Chrome browser.

I tried again, just now, and was able to load the page (using Chrome). However, the page still isn't fixed for me. I am trying to edit funds I have with the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). The G-fund and the F-fund both have a column for "Market Value". However, the remaining funds (C, S, I) are missing the columns for "Market Value" so there is nothing I can edit.

I'd be curious to hear from other users who use the TSP.

I do not have a TSP. All of my outside investments are ETFs or mutual funds that have ticker symbols. There is no "Market Value" column in my edit screen. The only things I can edit are "shares held," "Purchase amount," and "Fees/Commissions." My outside investments are in a tax-advantaged account so I never bother with the purchase amount or fees/commissions. I track and edit only the shares held so Portfolio Watch can analyze my composite holdings.

I finally figured out a workaround that works. I put all my TSP funds under "Other Investments" (as opposed to categorizing them under Bonds, Stocks, or ETFs). Now there is a column where I can edit the market value directly.

Glad you found a solution. :sharebeer

Just tested it running Safari 18.1.1. No Joy

Since Vanguard suggests using Chrome this seems to be browser dependent. Helps to know what browser/s folks are using to understand this.

I was able to edit everything in Chrome. Then I tried Safari, and I when I clicked on "Edit Holdings", I couldn't see any of my funds! Weird.

:sharebeer gotta love google for their precise versioning

I guess Vanguard prefers we use Chrome? :confused

I have had this problem also for a number of months. I have been using Firefox. I tried Safari but it produced the same results as Firefox. Based on some comments from this forum, I downloaded Chrome and tried it. It seemed to work at first; I updated one of my non-Vanguard accounts, the second non-Vanguard account would not update, even though it had the same ticker symbol. So, I deleted it, thinking I would just re-create that account, but the system could not find that ticker symbol, so I could not create that account. I am fed-up with Vanguard, so I deleted all my non-Vanguard accounts, and I am moving on. :annoyed
