Hello! Asking for a friend in need:
My friend who is a social worker in New York has asked me to help her pick out investments for her new retirement account.
She must select from the following providers to enroll with:
Ameriprise
Aspire Financial Services
Corebridge Financial
Equitable (formerly AXA)
FSC Wealth Advisors
Invesco Oppenheimer Funds
Lincoln Investment Planning
Mutual Inc
Oldham Resource Group
PenServ SmartSAV
Security Benefit
Voya Financial (Natl NY)
I am not particularly familiar with any of these providers and UNFORTUNATELY both Vanguard and Fidelity are no longer available for establishing new accounts (only available for employees already grandfathered in).
I tried to click into a few of the sites, but was unable to review the fund options available and associated fees without enrolling into an account.
Anyone have any insight into any of these providers or an easier way to find out the fund options available without having to enroll?
Thank you from both of us! Any advice appreciated!

Hi!
You can still get vanguard and fidelity but you have to go through Aspire which is on your list. Avoid the rest.

+1 to above, but make sure you choose a self-directed account. Some districts are pairing Aspire with “financial advisors” better known as salesmen.

+2 about Aspire.
Never in the history of market day-traders’ has the obsession with so much massive, sophisticated, & powerful statistical machinery used by the brightest people on earth with such useless results.
