do I need to care/worry about cost basis for a IRA roll over into my Fidelity account?
Rolled over 45K in 2001 and now it's LOTS more!!!
Do I need to document initial cost once I start Roth Conversions or just to sell some shares?
Guess same goes for my TSP IRA, does it matter for selling/converting for Roth conversions?
Cost basis for a Rollover IRA
Re: Cost basis for a Rollover IRA
The only basis that matters is if you made any after-tax non-deductible contributions. If everything is pre-tax there is no basis to track.f35phixer wrote:do I need to care/worry about cost basis for a IRA roll over into my Fidelity account?
