TLH Help

Post by aspiringlawyer » Wed Mar 25, 2020 1:32 pm

I am looking to do some TLH in my taxable account and could use your help in identifying where I should put my money to get similar exposure but avoid a wash sale. I currently have the following funds:

DEMSX ($1400 loss) - DFA Emerging Markets Small Cap Portfolio
DFCEX ($1700 loss) - DFA Emerging Markets Core Equity Portfolio
DFIEX ($2700 loss) - DFA International Core Equity Portfolio
DFSVX ($4200 loss) - DFA Small Cap Value
SPMT ($800 loss) - SPDR S&P 1500 ETF

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Edited to include names of funds.

It would be helpful if you provided the names of these funds rather than rely on readers to look them up.

Thanks for providing the names. With all those DFA funds, here's a page from altruistfa.com that shows vanguard alternatives which may be useful to you in your search for TLH replacement holdings:

For the S&P 1500 ETF which holds about 90% of the market capitalization of US stocks, consider Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF VTI, iShares S&P Total US Stock Market ETF ITOT.
