Congrats on your retirement as well. It was difficult for me to deal with all the retirement thoughts, several people providing me with suggestions on how to spend my money and time!), at the same time the market was crashing. Many panicky thoughts were going through my mind, but ended up doing the same thing as in 2008....nothing. Strange things happen in election years...Third Son wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 8:43 am
I retired on Feb 29th and am awaiting a lump sum from Megacorp. It should be in my IRA in a couple of weeks. I am going to use the bulk of it to re-balance (down 12.6% to 30/70) and keep some cash on the sidelines for a year or so. I had foot surgery on Feb 20th so I have been self quarantined for a month anyway now. Now starting to move around a bit I am keeping myself busy getting the house ready to sell.
Smart people tend to figure things out. Good luck to you and remember to enjoy your retirement. BTW... what is OMY?
What was your starting allocation??

This.
Same here. Well, I don’t have a thousand hobbies, but I do walk at least 6 miles a day.

Hey pokebowl. Can't imagine losses on that level. Been saving for a down payment. Hoping I can get 20% saved ($58K in 3 more years of saving). Signed up with the HI Homeownership center. Hoping they can be a good resource. Such a grind out here.
Update investments down $251K as of today...still holding on to the 2 comma net worth club
