A Chipolte burrito with chorizo (it was alright - 6.5/10), a jar of mayo, and my usual VTSAX weekly purchase. Quite a minimum week for me.

VTSAX for my Roth IRA contribution.
Just got the bill for the annual prebuy of our winter heating oil.
DH bought a car to replace mine that died over the summer (I've been driving the truck - that won't be great for winter driving).

Mostly just random timing, but with an eye to reducing our asset balance before filing the FAFSA for DS4 - that asset protection amount took a nose dive, compared to past years. :confused

Like to know if you used this as an opportunity to buy some (if yes, what did you buy) or waiting for more downturn for buying opportunity
I bought a cup of coffee and a bowl of beef barley soup. It's snowing here today.

Whenever I heard this I wonder how long its been waiting on the side; and how much was lost by having it waiting on the side.
Many folks lose the 20% market-run-ups to get the 5% dips.
I'm not saying this is what you did - but statistically - dry powder ends up doing this.

Lots of sarcastic answers I saw but Bogleheads aren't market timers so not really the place to pose market-timing questions.

In all seriousness, I heard that the market had a rough day, but I checked the S&P (which I haven’t been following closely), it is still around 2800! These are nosebleed levels! What’s the fuss? Wake me when we break 2000...
I bought a six pack of Stone IPA. What a coincidence. Have never seen the Tangerine Express but sounds interesting. Always a buying opportunity somewhere. Good luck.

Did not buy or sell anything. I did move money in 2018 from the brick and mortar bank to Vanguard money market after reading the posts on here.

I need to get into this sooner or later. Would be nice to have my bonds in a tax exempt holding since I live in Ohio.
