How do we adopt CORE and Explore using 3 Asset class portfolios?

Thanks for your replies to my postings. This board has been a valuable resource to learn.

I find CORE & EXPLORE investing employing risk segmentation. The EXPLORE portion carry high risk & high reward to enhance total return of the portfolio.

Is there an alignment between Boglehead investing and CORE & EXPLORE investing? :)

How do we implement CORE & EXPLORE investing with 3 Fund/ETF model ?

Can you detail a little more what that Core & Explore is?

mikeguima:

You can read about "Core & Explore" here. In my opinion, it is nothing more than a marketing gimmick to sell more funds.

Buy 5 funds. 3 basics (bond, US & International TSM) and then pick one or 2 explorations to tilt the portfolio. That could be a small value tilt, Sector funds, emerging markets, individual stocks, private equity, bitcoin, gold and so on. All depends on how exciting you want to be with your explorations:)
