MGF MFS® Government Markets Income CEF to supplement bond holdings?

Post by ChinchillaWhiplash » Wed Feb 07, 2018 3:24 pm

MGF MFS® Government Markets Income CEF ER= 0.72 Yield = around 8%. Discount to NAV = -6.08. Non leveraged. Thinking about putting some of bond fund into this. Only thing I don't like is that the amount of dividened made up of return of capital seems to be creeping up. Is this destructive ROC, or OK at these levels? Last dividend made of $0.0104 income and $0.0199 of ROC. Bond holdings are currently in a total US bond index fund. Was thinking of moving about 4% of total portfolio from 20% of total bond. Opinions?
