I do not have an IPS and do not plan to have one. The numbers are approximately correct right now.

I dont anticipate ever letting my fixed costs get so big that I couldnt ride out a bear market.... And I have great job stability

of Equities:
60% domestic / 40% international

of fixed income:
50% nominal (mostly TBM), 50% inflation-indexed

I posted on this thread years ago; here's an update.

Age 46

87% stock with the risk of 97% stock (I'm a serious slice-and-dicer)
100% stock as I view it, because my bond allocation is equal to my negative bond allocation (mortgage balance).

Not much of a risk taker. Low need and low tolerance.

Married with one kid, homemaker spouse

Total Bonds - 15%
REIT - 5%
U.S. Extended Market - 8%
Total International - 32%
Emerging Markets - 10%
Total U.S. Stocks - 35%

REITs are all in ROTH IRA, Bonds are & total international in 401k. Emerging markets are split between 401k and Taxable account, rest all in taxable account.

Full-time employed. Hope to part-time in 5 years ... full retirement maybe 10 (but probably more like 15) years.



Until 1 week ago was 100% equities.


Now 92% stocks, 8% fixed bond funds.

35/65 fixed income

35%= 70% total US, 20% total INTL, 10% WDTI

65%= tax exempt munis, total INTL bond, 5 year CD ladder and fixed/indexed annuity w/lifetime income rider.

Retired, no pension.

50/50 stock/bond, same as before, same since 2009

Bonds, 40% Treasury STRIPS, 60% Vanguard Intermediate Term Investment Grade

Stocks, 75% domestic (50% TSM, 10% REIT, 15% SCV), 25% Total int'l

AA: 100% Stocks

But my situation might be somewhat different since I work for the government and anticipate having a fixed income pension + SS that will cover 100% of my expenses. My 401K, Roth IRA, and taxable accounts are pretty much all fun money.
