BTW ... print off that screen (especially the earliest 2006 entry) now. I'm guessing they are keeping something like a constant 10 years of back data available online, and the earliest line(s) might disappear at the end of the year or when the next dividend is distributed or something.

Already done. Imported these tables and also the cost basis tables (only for 2011 dividends that were reinvested basically) into excel.

I wonder if starting another thread called "cost basis nightmare" or something like that would get others to chime in!

Perhaps my original topic and all the rest of the clutter we've reduced throughout this thread is unappealing to the rest of the onlookers! :wink:

Right on! A very simple thing that would help your mother's tax situation during the sell off of the stock position - stop taking any money out of the IRA. As she liquidates she will have plenty of cash. This would of course change some of the other calculations that have been posted.
