I know that you can buy the Vanguard Russell 3000 EFT (VTHR) - I have to play with the ETF filter to find them. However, the only related index fund I could find on the Vanguard site was Institutional class (VRTTX) with a $5,000,000 minimum...

Do you see the minimum as a issue?

What would be the advantage of a Russell 3000 fund versus a Total Market fund such as VTSAX?
Anybody know why there's a 20-pound frozen turkey up in the light grid?

If you're an institution with some mandate or other reason to have that as a benchmark, maybe you want to track it specifically.

I think very few companies offer Russell 3000 Index fund retail. TIAA offers one at 0.34 ER. Personally, I think the long term performance of Russell 3000 and TM will be sufficiently close.

Would be a very nice TLH partner for VTSAX.
