Simplicity At Last

Post by mlobur »

Hi All,
It's final. After years of my portfolio being a disorganized mess probably costing me who knows how much because of chasing return and/or paying high fees I have finally reached "simplicity".

Wife
*******
Roth( contributing ) : Target Date 2030
403b ( non contributing) : Target Date 2030
403b( contributing ) : 3 Fund Portfolio (70/30 auto rebalanced quarterly)
Total Stock Market
Total International Stock Market
Intermediate Term Bond Index

Myself
*********
4 Fund Portfolio ( 70/30 ) over 403b and Roth rebalanced annually, contributing
--Total Stock Market
--Total International Stock Market
--Total Bond Market
--Total International Bond Market

I wanted to thank everyone for their contributions to the board.

I would love to implement something like this. I have things relatively simple, but I'm afraid if my wife had to take over for me it would be a very steep learning curve. She's very smart, but just not interested.

I love my small value and foreign small, but perhaps I should move as much as I can to forever balanced funds as a type of insurance policy against my demise (and perhaps a tad due to my behavioral issues 8-) )

Congrats!
