Index fund for grandkids?

Post by oilcan »

:confused We are retired and have a Revocable Trust set up for our family. However we would like to set up a Side Trust and leave $175,000 to our seven grandchildren, ages four to twenty-one. I plan on using an index fund but am undecided on which one. Is there anyone that had a similar situation that can give me ideas as to which one to use?

Thanks.

Some possibilities:
Vanguard Balanced Index Fund Admiral Shares
or one of the Vanguard Life Strategy funds
