Do the self directed option and pick a few of the low ER Schwab ETFs to suit your AA.
For example, for a simple 3 fund portfolio, the following are fine:
US stock index Fund = SCHB
International Index Fund (Developed markets) = SCHF
Bond Index Fund = SCHZ
You can add more Schwab ETFs to slice and dice if desired (small cap international, emerging markets, REITS, etc.)

What are the underlying funds in the lifepath funds.

The underlying funds in the lifepath are blackrock index funds

I also have a Roth IRA with Vanguard in one fund the VTSAX

Have you considered changing your Roth to a target retirement fund and picking a similar one in 401.Pick a fund that meets your desired AA and not by yearnolax29 wrote:I also have a Roth IRA with Vanguard in one fund the VTSAX

I had not though about changing to target retirement funds that meet my desired AA. Seems like a very simple option and will be well diversified. Historically the returns are not as great though.
