Any 529 Plan with Vanguard Wellesley as an option?

Post by alife »

Some searching on this forum and elsewhere revealed that Ohio's 529 Plan has Vanguard Wellington as an investment option, but I can't find a plan that has Wellesley as an option.

Does anyone know of a 529 plan that has Vanguard Wellesley as an option?

Thanks in advance.

I can't find the answer on VG's web site, but I bet if you were to call them, they could tell you.

It appears that Ohio and Tennessee 529 plans both have wellington. Tennessee also has some Life Strategy and a few DFA funds. But I don't know whether any 529s have Wellesley.

Thanks for the feedback. I had checked the Vanguard website, but (oddly!) had not thought about calling Vanguard. Will do so.

Called Vanguard and they only have information about the 529 plans that they manage. None of them has Wellesley as an option. They couldn't provide information about Vanguard funds available in 529 plans that they don't manage. The search continues.....

I think both Utah and Nevada use Vanguard. You might check their plans.

Wellesley is a very conservative option (67% bonds) for a 529 which is probably why most plans don't offer it......Gordon
