I inherited some money. It is in a trust account with one of the biggest investment bank companies. I want to transfer to passive index funds. How do I do that considering that it is a trust account?

Call Vanguard and ask them how to transfer the trust. They will probably send you a form to complete in which you authorize them to transfer the trust "in kind" to them.

Who is the Trustee and what are the terms of the trust? The trust should state who controls the investments and how to change them.
