We never went to Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, have the SS cards securely stashed away. We were never asked to show the SS card, as far as I remember. But what you need to know is the SS number.

I always wore my wedding band at work and during job interviews, and whenever I am outside the house except during yardwork. MY wife told me not to wear it ever outside when I do yard work (she checks me), because I could lose it and never find it again.

We never provide our SS number when asked. We are on Medicare, but never use the Medicare number, only the insurance ID number on our insurance card from a Medicare Advantage policy.

I have SS and a fixed pension.
Stock mutual funds 43 %, rest bonds and CDs.
So I have age - 21 in bonds and CDs.
As Mr. Bogle said, you can consider Social Security and Pension as bonds in your asset allocation, so I did partially.

Last year after I mowed the lawn in summer I used the garden hose with cold water while standing on the lawn in shorts, and that went very fast. I believe I do not use more than 3 gallons of that ice-cold water. They can do it at the golf club.

He is a single child, and we went to a play group at the local library. When he got around 3 he was able to climb in McDonalds playlands and play there with other kids. At home on the kitchen floor he loved to build towers with blocks.

We have a Tracfone in each of our 2 cars, sitting there fully charged. They are rarely used. Annual cost is about $50 or 60, which we get by buying for a month or so and then adding 365 days at checkout. Why pay more. Those phones last several years.

In my area lightning bolts happen when it rains. So when a lightning hits my house and it rained on the dusty roof, aluminum siding, gutters and downspouts, it might only do little damage - I hope. I also have then those wet 100 ft pines 25 ft away.

Strange things go on. For a few months when going to Google I got a bright red screen saying that there is some virus, though it is not bad. But it was not from Webroot and Malwarebytes, and those I trust. Now I no longer see that.

We have snow on the ground and get all kinds of woodpeckers. We only hang up two suet squares which do not leave mess on the ground. Our neighbor puts out seeds and then in spring has to rake up all the dropped seeds. It is important to hang up feeders such that squirrels can not reach them.

We simply do not pick up any phone calls with a phone number showing we do not know, if it is spoofed or not. For weeks now again those probably fake IRS people are calling with their fake Washington phone number.
