It seems they exist

geekedout, it seems that magwind is not a trade mark, it's a generic name for a kind of turbines.
This other site says that J. Leno has a magnetic wind turbine. So it seems they exist, at least in small sizes.

Magnetic wind turbines, do they already exist?

Months ago, I read about the project Maglev, and found it very interesting, but it was only a project. Searching about magnetic wind turbines in google, I find this site. A reader comment this is a scam. I expect your comments and eventually information about others.

The pessimism with batteries

I think people are exagerating the problems with batteries. I know for sure that the electric vehicles I saw working with garbage are feeded with the old fashioned Pb batteries. I wonder that nobody produces an electric car with that old kind of batteries for the common persons and remember the customers that in some years they have a good chance to replace those batteries for a modern battery that will provide a better autonomy.

Where to get long term commodities charts?

I would like to see metal commodities ou CRB index charts of 30, 50 years. Can you show me where to find such charts?
I want to compare the charts with the ideas of Jim Rogers about duration of the cycles.

I suppose there are not enough heat intensive industries in all locations to use all the used tires. It seems the excess of old tires is a problem eveywhere.
Consider also the cost problem. The industries can use cheap fuels.

Mike, if I understood it correctly, the use of pedals and solar energy are aditional resources, but you can achieve 150 mpg without using pedals and solar energy.

Biased test drive?

Geekedout, wasn't the test drive a bit biased?
The most part of your comments were not about the test drive.
I suppose that the electric cars are for customer s that want to colaborate with the environment and other questions. So, for me it's no wonder if what you get from an electric car of 109 th. dol. you could get by a gasoline car of 80 th. dol., as an example. Otherwise, in the long run there's an economical advantage, electricity cheaper than gasoline.
Electric cars and hybrids have another advantage: you won't produce CO pollution in your garage or near your house.

Yes, Stratton. Fisher Inv. belongs to Ken Fisher. But the 1% rule is in his book "The Wall Street Waltz". It seems this book is very cheap, at least an used book.
I didn't buy it because I have a difficulty: I'm a extraterrestrial to the world of credit cards. Last time I spoke with a bank, I wanted a lower limiit than the bank accepted.. I don't believe in the security of those things.

Question on Fisher's 1% unemployment rule

I read a few words about Ken Fisher's 1% unemployment rule. I don't have his book. I ask how this apply. Should we consider the rate month to month, or quarter to quarter?
In the market nowadays, how it applies?

Really doom and gloom. Bonus to militars

The situation is really doom and gloom, there's no guarantee that it can't become worse than 1929. We cannot wait until the free market solve the problems that are coming. Government must act. Creativity is necessary to solve those inedit problems. I suggest that the Goverment give a bonus to militars to buy cars. It could be a bonus of 5000 and for cars with high national content.
