Try doing a search, I recall there was another Mini Cooper thread in the last few months, I believe someone had one that he/she was considering getting rid of before it basically self-destructed and the consensus was that those cars are junk outside of warranty.

You can get a 2014 CPO Infiniti Q50 with low-ish miles for 23k-ish now. 328hp, 0-60 well under under 6.0 seconds, available AWD (all most all of them in northern states came with AWD) good sounds from the engine, good reliability from a proven engine. Original MSRP was $42k+ for most of them.

I just remembered that my parents installed a whirlpool tub in a bathroom they were renovating back in the early 1990s. The whirlpool function was never used other than to test it when the installation was complete. Who knows if it even works anymore.

I have found that unless your medical record is flawless and you don't take any medications for anything, most life insurance companies want nothing to do with you, at least not unless for a ripoff price.

Pretty much nothing besides cash. All of the documents mentioned by others can be replaced fairly easily. Nobody needs a copy of their house deed, it is on public record. Car title duplicates are easily obtained from the state. I have never needed to present my social security card to anyone.

Since you say you can afford the maintenance, I'd keep the Audi until 125k or so. In today's world this job may only last 6 months and you would have swapped to the Corolla for nothing, you never know. The bulk of the Audi's depreciation is already behind you.

As I said in the other thread, if you dislike turbo cars, don't delay, buy a non-turbo now or in the next year or two. Thanks to increasing government fuel economy standards, turbos are probably going to end up in most vehicles besides low-volume sports cars or exotics.

^ Thanks for your comments. I am only looking at ones with the middle and third row bench seats. If I can't get the middle bench completely out (fold-down backrest only is a dealbreaker) then I can't fit in the specific cargo I need to carry.

When my employer did this, anyone who didn't take the package got canned anyway, and got the same deal, so long as they signed the document stating they would not sue the company for age discrimination. Of course they had to get rid of an equal number of under-40 folks to even things out. :twisted:
