Someone with a thin (if even existent) credit history ought not to apply for a bunch of cards right away. Re: AAA? What to do in car emergencies?

What keeps me as an AAA member is the solid road service that you hope to never need. Last year I got a flat on the way to work at 5:30 AM just outside downtown. 5 degrees and windy, 3 inches of snow on the ground and still coming down. I figured even with AAA I was going to be sitting for a while. ...

I have used the usps.gov site over a dozen times to institute a "mail hold" with start and end dates (from their home page, go under Track and Manage) and it allows you to choose whether to have your held mail delivered after the end date, OR to pick up your held mail at the post office. Re: Handling ageism in tech

The problem is that, as we mature, we typically make more money. The folks who pay the salaries want to get the job done as cost effectively as possible. The key to staying employed as we get older is to figure out ways to be worth the increasing salary they’re paying you. I once worked at a place ...

In general there are two "types" of gold coins. (I'm oversimplifying a bit though) 1. Numismatic (or "collectible") gold - these are gold coins where the value is determined by a combination of: year of manufacture/condition/rarity/desirability. Generally they do not state how much gold the coin con...

Our propane Weber is 18 years old. Northeast winters, always with a cover. The burners finally gave out 2 years ago, cost about $30 to replace. The covers last about 5-6 years before the sun fossilizes them.

I don't see food/groceries as discretionary at all. Travel is a fixed monthly set aside to accumulate for future expenses....

The 403(b) plan has negotiated the ability to offer Admiral to plan members. You'll see the same thing with some 401k plans where they offer institutional class funds ($1 million minimum investment or more) to participants.
