GE has (my DD just bought one at Lowes a couple of months ago) one that has a button (labeled BEEPER ON/OFF) on the front of it you can push and never hear the beep again. Sorry I don't have the model # but it was a "in cabinet" one (not a "Counter top" one.

AFAIK (and hope) IRMAA Base should be increasing in 2020 (estimated by 2%) which will impact 2018 MAGI. 2021 Base should be impacted by COLA going forward.

Great idea and great to have you for a grandparent. Yes get a good estimate of cost and just write a check you could give as much as $45K (DS, DDIL and DGrand Child) without any need to do anything tax wise for yourself or your family.

Suggestion: Check the alignment of the sink above. Remove entire trap and using a small (maybe 6 inch) level. If it is not perfectly level it may be causing the P trap to be misaligned. If you cannot get the sink level you may try getting different (thicker) washers to using in the P trap connection...

FreeTaxUSA is up an running NOW for advance use on 2018 taxes. Won't accept for filing until 1/2/19 and then will be held until 1/21/19 when IRS is scheduled to open the door for 2018 personal returns. All online system but works fine the past 2 years for me.

Since having Cataracts removed from both eyes I do not need glasses for distance or for driving (20/20). Do not need them for my computers (4X and HDR) but do need them for iPhone (go figure). So I buy them where ever they are cheapest (Dollar Store, etc.). Keep 2 pair around at all times.

I have about a 7 year old Brother Wireless B&W MFP. I attribute the long life to always using only Brother Toner in it. The drum is the only part IMO that would be impacted by 3d Party Toner and it is probably the most expensive moving part to replace. Your experience may be different.

Got any scrap carpet (can get some from Carpet store for almost free) and a pair of Scissors? Cut the carpet to fit under legs or part of furniture that hits the HW floors and place the finished portion down to the HW. Easy to replace if needed and cheap.

Call Manufacturer, explain problem, if warranted have replacement parts sent along with installation instructions and if available diagrams on how to install new parts. Then DIY or find some handy person (family member) to do the repair. Good luck.

FWIW I have experimented with several methods. One I found best for myself is a 2 USB Thumb Drives. One for the actual working file of Quicken and one for the Backup files. So nothing is on the internal SSD on the computer except for the Quicken program itself. I can move the two Thumb Drives easily...
