Hi, Which website/service do Bogleheads use when they are planning a new lease? I see there is Truecar and Carvoy with active deals and Edmunds with pricing information. We used Truecar in the past and was able to get a good deal. It didn't work in our 2nd time. Our 3rd lease is coming up in 2 month...

Re: 4% Rule has changed.....not
Does the video assume that a 70 year old keeps all their funds in stock market? Even at 50/50, that would be difficult to get hit with 20% decline, but from what I've seen, people in retirement keep no more than 20% in stocks. Aren't you supposed to be in income funds at that point and not worry abo...

Re: Owning 3 Index funds vs ETFS ?
I use ETFs to tax gain harvest. That's interesting. Is this because you are young and poor (i.e. low marginal tax rate) and you want to increase your cost basis, taking your cap gains now (at lower marginal rates) to reduce the amount of future capital gains? Yes. While in graduate school I'll be i...

On the surface it would appear to be a good environment to invest in rentals. In my city, a house that rents for $1400 would sell for more like $200k.
