Technically, two things are required to become a resident of a state: 1) physical presence in the state; and 2) intent to remain. I suppose all the things others have suggested would serve as proof of intent to remain, such as getting a driver license, leasing property, registering a car, etc.

Technically, the term is "pierce" the corporate veil, not piece. One of the factors used to determine if one can successfully pierce the corporate veil is whether or not the business is adequately insured. Look into business insurance.

I just don't get greeting cards. Never have, never will. Take a piece of paper and write the recipient a heart-felt message. If you need inspiration, check the internet. Having said that, if you are still compelled to buy a card, check your local dollar store. Mine sells Hallmark cards for 2/$1.

Are you sure it's real hardwood in the apartments? Apartments generally have a wood-look flooring that is either tile or vinyl. If it's real hardwood, cleaning/vacuuming only twice a year will be an issue. Get yourself a Roomba and program it to run twice a week.

The box was plugged into the cable wall outlet in room one and worked just fine. Are you suggesting that each outlet in each individual room needs to be connected to the satellite individually? Is this done during "activation" of the outlet?
