Re: Cordless phone batteries

Many thanks; I will take your advice. But on another topic, seriously, when does one individual know when or at what point one is "overthinking it." Topics like tv, car, and electronic items seem to just go on as do topics like global warming, etc. When does one draw the line and say enough?

Re: Cordless phone batteries

A respectful question if I may; seriously; which one of you gentlemen am I to believe and why?

You are certainly more knowledgeable but which strategy do I choose? The Radio Shack guy says if I leave it in the charger it will burn out sooner.

Cordless phone batteries

My Panasonic 900 Mz Cordless phone needed a GE/Sanyo battery replacement after 6 yrs. I went down to Radio Shack and bought a replacement. The sales guy pointed out that I needed to take the phone off the charger during the day and to put it on at night. But with the other one I always left it in th...

Re: Best TV to buy

Everyone has their own tastes when it comes to tvs (or ice cream) but my cable guy was here and I asked him which brand. He said he used to work for Costco before Cablevision and that now all the major tvs inner workings are made in the same place in China. That Sony slaps on a fancy and expensive c...

OK, the cable guy was here and he reset the wires and tested and he said it was the TV. So looks like a new tv.

Strange that the lines only appear on some channels and not others.

Re: New Printer

Note to post above: YMMV, I avoid 4-in-1s with fax like the plague: have seen both parent and spouse befuddled by hugely more complex controls for fax. None of us has sent or received faxes for years. I've spent hours repeatedly walking my elderly parent through his fax/printer controls, was overjo...

The Cablevision guy comes tomorrow to check out the tv.
If the problem is not on every channel then maybe it is a broadcast problem. It is however a problem on 95% of the channels.
Stay tuned...........................

I am sure most people have moved on and forgotten about this thread but I just noticed that the fine white horizontal lines at the top of the screen are more pronounced on some channels than others. When we tune in to CSPAN they almost disappear.

Re: Best TV to buy

Well our Toshiba tv screen is 27" on the diagonal and it is in our den. Since our house is small(2000 sq.ft.) and the den where it is placed is small, we can't really have too big a screen. We could maybe go to 30" but that is pushing it.
