Buying an S5 is a terrible idea because it no longer gets security updates.

Never buy a cellphone that is older than a year old from it's initial release date.

If you need a cheaper phone, buy a cheaper new phone.

Using your taxable account for living expenses in the short-term while you are unemployed is fine. I doubt you will be unemployed long. The 20% rate was 3.24%

The 25% rate was 2.99%

I'd suggest doing a Windows refresh. It will keep your home directory data, but otherwise reinstall Windows.

Asking how much you make now is only useful of you are trying to pay people as little as possible, instead of what they are worth.

The issue with paying people less than they are worth, is they will keep looking for better jobs, which increases churn rate.

It helps that lowered her health insurance cost to zero, from healthcare.gov She gets about 40% back at tax time, or via reduced health care...

Lots of home routers support some VPN variant, with OpenVPN being the most common. When away from home, you would VPN back to your router and use your home internet connection...
