SInce so many here are using the term, let's at least establish in financial lingo a definition of sheeple. Sheeple - Anybody who invests money in an ETF, Mutual Fund or flock to a three fund portfolio.

In 1979 I bought a Guild D-40 dreadnaught acoustic, that I still own. Richie Havens played this brand/model at Woodstock. His was a few years older than mine. Anyway, I love Guilds and have been shopping for another. I want a jumbo body. Guild was bought by Cordoba and have relocated to Oxnard, CA. ...

This happened in Barcelona. When checking in, if the hotel front desk tells you to keep all valuables locked in the safe, then keep all valuables locked in the safe. We suspect the cleaning staff stole my wife's IPHONE. I guess we were lazy. It WAS password protected, so I'm not sure what they were ...

I won an all expenses paid trip for two to the 1997 Super Bowl. Packers beat the Patriots in New Orleans. Went with a college buddy. We spent most of our non-game time drinking in the French Quarter.
I would post a picture of my ticket, but it appears I'm not able on this site.

If there is an existing topic on this subject, please direct me accordingly. My 89 year old mother is currently in an assisted living facility. She has approx. $550,000.00 in liquid assets. I have two sisters. Is there a legal method of transferring the assets to our names. The assisted living facil...

How do the school systems compare?
For a lateral job move, I'm not sure I would uproot my life for the status quo. I would want to know there is some potential for advancing, either at the small company you are considering OR elsewhere if there are other opportunities available.

I spent a total of about $6000.00 on a new road bicycle ($3600.00) and related accessories/clothing. I rode about 1600 miles, all weekends. Work was too busy to get in any weekday rides.
Vacationed in Spain for two weeks.

The last couple of years, I've added up the interest/dividends/capital gains from all my investment accounts to compute the annual total. Wow. I could retire now. What I'll probably end up doing is working another year or two then getting a part-time job doing something totally different. I want to ...

Sometimes you need to show your money who's the boss. This is a somewhat inexpensive indulgence. Make a reservation at a really, really great restaurant owned and operated by a well-known chef. Hopefully you have some near you.

Well, this may not be the most popular opinion on the forum, but here it goes. Polo's in general don't seem to have a long life. When we locked in our most recent refi rate in October 2012, my credit union offered me the best rate(by far). Quicken was one company I looked at.
We obtained a 15 year mortgage at 2.375% from the credit union. It's a local credit union to Maryland.

I balance to the penny, every month, from the bank statement to my checkbook. I have a method of making entries to my checkbook and timing of mailing any checks, to make sure that the only entry I have to make to balance, is adding the interest earned for the month.

Keep in mind, the government wants you to delay collecting SS. Collecting a lower amount at a younger age yields the same total amount as collecting a larger amount at an older age. Your life expectancy doesn't change, therefore the total amount you collect ends up being the same.
