There is a problem with your math but I will need some free time to figure out what. But the bigger issue is the set of inputs you are using. The U.S. may have a run like Japan in the future or the future might not look like the 20th century where the US came up to be the biggest thing in the world...

Who's wrong? If this is directed at me I don't understand...really. When I look at all the dividend payouts in this chart they are ever increasing. I do see the 2/1 splits and so I got two shares for every one but my stock price was cut in half. I don't know how they distribute dividends in these c...

Larry, when was the last time AT&T(SBC) and VZ lowered their dividend payments? I'd say their dividend history is very relevant to an investor who is looking at their income streams. It's interesting to me that we accept treasury bonds yielding less and less (for safety sake) and yet we quickly...

If the fixed income portion of an account moves in the same way as the insurance company's general account then it may not matter. In general though, annuities are as expensive as they have been in a long time. I might ride it out for a while in cash to see if rates do increase in the near future ....

Talk about short term selection. This is why I use both corp and treasury. Who would use less than one month performance or only 1 year. If you used only treasury's you give up too much long term.
