Is there any merit to collect actual copper cents? Pennies minted since mid-1982 are 97.5% zinc. Those minted before mid-1982 are 95% copper and have a melt value of 1.7868c per penny.

In other words, is there a market for the pre-1982 circulated 95% copper cents?

His company runs a hedge fund. Hedge funds tend to manipulate markets to their advantage. I would suggest doing the opposite of what a hedge fund operator suggests.

Only the portion of your LTCG -- when combined with all of your non-LTCG taxable income -- below 78,750 is taxed at 0%.

If you would like 20,000 LTCG taxed at 0%, your non-LTCG can't exceed 58,750.

Note the threshold is 1/2 for single filers.
