Current loan balance is about 98 k. Was thinking of keeping the mortgage and renting it out when I buy home in a year or two. The rental income would cover the mortgage.

Hello Bogleheads, As you all know, if we have foreign taxes paid via foreign funds in taxable account, we can take foreign tax credits. Similarly, is this possible for retirement accounts? Can we take credit of foreign tax paid, when we start paying taxes on the withdrawal during retirement? Thanks

I never decline updates. If they break something next update would fix it. Keep your backups upto date and always update on time.

In addition to 529, you can buy series I bonds. You should be able to spend tax free earning on education or medical expenses, after 5 or so years.

oh, forgot to mention, part of their role is to keep clients calm at the time of hype and turbulence, and prevent them from making rash decisions.

for you, it will be 300 dollar per year.
i would say go ahead for a year and learn from them. ask questions, when and how they re balance. see them doing for a year.

and then cut loose.

for bigger portfolio, north of 300K, i would not use them, once i have learned when and how to re balance.

I just sold my Accord to carmax and got a used Hyundai santa Fe sport. Best decision for my 2 hour daily commute. My back doesn't hurt anymore.

Does he have a referral incentive from the company if he get you hired? How much?

Can you try job B for few weeks and still keep option for job A open? That way
If you don't like it you switch.

You can try vice-versa too.

If you have allergies, buy years worth of allergy meds. They are expensive. Like Zertec, Claritin, etc.
I also buy mine and DWs contact lenses.
Pharmacy is also eager to fill any prescription if it's getting due in a few weeks or so.
