guess the other thing is the VG EM fund has no SC EM, and of my 30% international 15% is in the FTSE https://personal.vanguard.com/us/funds/snapshot?FundId=0570&FundIntExt=INT which has no SC EM. ? uh i DO have lots of loss carryovers ........ :) I agree with Sammy_M. Sell the FTSE Fund (harvest the loss) and consolidate to Total International. sure, well it is a very small portion maybe 10% of the the bond portion, which is 60% in bonds overall, or 5% of the entire portfolio. but with the I-bonds the inflation protected holdings become 36% of all the bonds held, though the I-bonds are tax deferred... i have a bunch of losses from 2008 tha...
