Why 3 fund portfolio? Your portfolio contains 5 or 6 funds. If I am not mistaken?I think we going to the wrong road when we started naming original Jack's "3 Fund Portfolio" anything,. remind me like many started calling some annuities- Indexed annuities. :confused

Yeah, we all know DALBAR methodology has some flaws. But the direct is right. Morningstar has "investor return" data for each asset class. Some fair better than others, but overall investors perform about 1.5% below the funds they invest in. Some of this is bad timing and other is natural cash flow...

here the lesson for many....better not having broker at all. Go to Vanguard and open regular accounts with Index Funds.Like I have for many years. Simple and easy. :idea: There's a middle ground.
