Re: Retirement Fund Date has Passed-Question

you dont pick the TDF based on the date, you pick it based on the underlying AA.
what is your desired AA?
find the TDF that closest matches (2015-20-25-etcetcetc)

as noted already, if you need something more static, the LS funds are a better pick.

roll her tIRA over to the 401k. thats easy. you can convert the nondeductible one as the basis wont count, only the earnings.
you need an i401k or just take the tax hit to convert your tIRA.

you dont mention what AA you want.....
in general, you add more fixed income to your protected accounts, and trade out for stocks in the taxable account.
however you didnt mention your tax brackets, so this in o can change based on that as well.

1050 or 470 for low end, you might only need an i3.
For more mainstream AAA 1060 or 480, def i5.

yes the rIRA route makes sense. the more sheltered space the better.
role the IRA over to the 401k (but you need to see if this is allowed)
if not do you have a solo 401k you can send it to?
if not then you pay the tax and move on.

could stick with limited term TE, not NY specific given length of time.
sounds like you have enough money, so if you were to invest it and lose some...would it put a damper on your overall plan?
