Re: Question regarding inheriting and selling share of home

Hopefully it won't come to that but atleast that is an option. Thank you for the feedback. I guess I'll need to wait for now and talk with them to see if they are willing.

Thank you. Hopefully they will do a buyout. I'd rather not deal with managing a rental between 4 people.

Re: Amazon Free Shipping Is Now $50....

Guess it was a good thing we switched to Prime recently! The other benefits are useful as well.

For years we have been buying Kirkland dog food from Costco. Have seen the 40 pound bag go from around $21 to now $27 but feel it is a good price for the quality.

Re: Question regarding inheriting and selling share of home

Yes, between 4 grandchildren. One being my brother who I believe would also sell his portion. I have a feeling that my cousins would prefer to hold onto the house as their families live in the same area of the home.

Re: Target Retirement Fund vs. Manual

TD funds have higher ER but I am not sure really how much more it would cost over retirement. For some it is worth the cost. I am a newbie and recently went with the Three Fund portfolio so take it for what it is worth. :happy Edit: Rereading the OP's post I would go with the TD funds. I was making ...

Question regarding inheriting and selling share of home

My grandmother past away in January and I have been told that I will be inheriting a share of her home. Seeing as the property will be shared and across the country from me, I am wanting to sell my portion to simplify things. Is it easiest to have this done now while it is being handled by the execu...

Thank you all for the excellent info! You can port your "mobile" number to Google Voice for a one-time $20 fee. I believe now that your number is already used with AT&T Go Phone, you can port it to Google Voice like any mobile phone number. After it's a Google Voice number, you can have it forward ...

Re: Should I Negotiate Salary Now?

I haven't had much personal experience with negotiating but I have read quite a bit on an IT forum I visit. The general advice is to not take counteroffers to stay with your current employer as most seem to have had negative experiences. Since you negotiated a raise 6 months ago, I personally would...

Have you tried rebooting the cable modem and Ooma device? This might have been the first thing support suggested but wasn't stated. Possible an issue with the Ooma hardware.

I just bought the Brother DCP-L2520DW on sale ($90) at Costco which can also scan. Ordered online so can't give any feedback regarding the printer but it is a nice price! I'm replacing my Canon so I don't have to keep buying ink cartridges. Also if you buy the toner with the purchase, you get $20 of...

Drover, welcome! I like your idea of using only the VG 500 in your 403b and using your IRA for your Int'l and bond funds. I'd skip the small-cap value tilt, until later, if then. Are you getting the maximum match in your 403b? If not, you should. After the match, you could consider a IRA for your w...
