Re: Playa del Carmen Vacation -- Excursion and Restaurant tips

The ruins at Tulum are very picturesque by the ocean. I like the site at Chichen Itza. It is a pretty extensive complex of Mayan Ruins. It is an all day trip to get there and back. The bus tour we took stopped at a Cenote (deep water hole). People brought their swim suits. I wished we had brought ou...

Re: What's Your Credit Card Rewards Strategy?

Chase Freedom includes internet/cable/phone services this quarter. Is there any reason not to prepay $1500 today on those? You also get 5% on Apple Pay and Android Pay this quarter. I started using Apple Pay for my weekly grocery trips and was able to capture the max in 5% rewards quickly that way....

For the Freedom, you could go to Staples and use your mobile pay and buy a Visa Gift card.

by Bwlonge » Fri Dec 22, 2017 7:12 am I had the CSR this past year, trying to get my second $300 travel credit out as cash. Any ideas? I'll likely downgrade after that, not sure to what yet. Maybe a second Freedom card. This next year I'll go for the Southwest Chase trio- ends up with about $1500 w...

Doing travel hacking does take some work. For me and DW, it has paid off nicely. We have been in this game just over a year now. In this last year we have done the following trips using the rewards we have accumulated. 2 trips to Mexico resorts. 1 trip Hawaii. 1 trip Europe. The total cost for the E...

As I read the offer on the points guy, Southwest must email or mail you this offer. It is not something you can just randomly signed up for. Other restrictions apply. I hope I am incorrect, but this is what I am reading… I heard this too. I know some friends applied even though they were not specif...

Wondering if anyone has gotten it at or over 5/24. I know it applies to the United card because I got denied.

From the amount of points that you have I would assume you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred. According to some of the credit card churning sites, you could downgrade that card to a regular Chase Sapphire card. What I have read is this card can no longer be applied for online. You have to go to a Ch...
