The cost of carrying our present bigger house including
- The taxes, pool care, lawn care, pest care, Home owners insurance, home owners association fee, minimal electric - is $ 800 per month.

Been there, done that. I would do things in the following order

1. I would put the max 16k into the Office Plan & then also do the Roth.

2. Start looking for & start paying for a Disability Insurance.

3. Start Term Life Insurance for 20, better 30 yr Policy
