Letgo, facebook marketplace and ebay are very good and easy options. Start taking pictures and just post there will 1-2 word descriptions. If you do not have limits - start with big items.
Donation is a good option too.

Read few articles on minimalist approach and stay motivated to declutter.

Yes I am in higher federal tax bracket but i do not know what will happen in 2018 with new tax laws.

NY state tax rate is 6.65%. I will search for other best cash saving in the board.

My kids are in 6th and 4th grade in NY. I started 529 only in 2016 for the kids. I have 529 with roughly $10,000 for each kid. They both have $75,000 in UTMA. I have around 100K in Vanguard taxable account. I am maximizing my 401. I currently have budget of putting around $9000/kid in 529 each year....

Yes legal word used is custodian account. Currently we have in Synchrony but I am thinking to move to Vanguard UTMA account.

What will be best options to invest in being conservative in Vanguard UTMA account. Its 50K each in two accounts for kids 9 and 11 years old.

I am custodian of one account and he is custodian of another account. My kids are 9 and 11 years old.
He always made sure the interest was less than $800 and hence not pay the taxes.

yes it is easy. you will pay some transaction fee. I did that and moved all my accounts to vanguard.

If you mostly invest in vanguard funds than it makes more sense to move to vanguard.

we have crv and pilot both. We both love it. If you do not need 8 seater, than go with crv. CRV also has lots of space. You can get a roof rack if need additional space. You will save a lot on CRV.

But I was with Smith barney. They put your funds usually in load funds so they can make money. Front Load Funds usually charge 5%.

SO take 5% of 620K out right there.

I am new member and can not post links and charts. but my doing goggle search I saw a chart for 1929 crash. SP&500 was around 350 at peak and went to 50 between 1929 to 1932. That is three years of recession and 3 years of market going down.

and looks like going down 75%.

We have around good amount of cash in our GE interest plus account. My husband works for GE and has lots of faith in GE.

With current financial crisis, is GE interest plus save. It is not FDIC insured.
