Re: Lastpass on iPhone easy to use?

You can try using the browser within Lastpass. It is basically a wrapper around same webkit (browser framework) that safari uses; with the exception that it allows Lastpass to do automated fill-ins of data like desktop browsers.

The reason Lastpass has to take this route is because unlike PC browsers, Safari doesn't allow for plug-in or extensions that Lastpass can build upon.

Re: Retirement Account Stolen by Identity theft

I will recommend that you also file for fraud alert with the credit reporting agencies.

An initial fraud alert lasts 90 days. If you’re an ID-theft victim, you can get a extended fraud alert that stays in place for seven years. But you may be better off with the 90-day alert because that allows you to get a free credit report from each of the four credit bureaus each time you renew the alert.

Even though security freeze is a stronger option, in your case I would do both. Another advantage of fraud alert is that it put lenders and banks on notice to be extra careful in verifying your identity.

Re: Share your current asset allocation?

The question needs additional information (target withdrawal rate, for example), but here it is:

Age: 60/55
AA: 50/50
Equity: 75% Domestic (US), 25% Int'l
Debt: 10% short-term, 30% Intermediate, 10% Long-term

Is someone going to aggregate results?

I thought 30% is what Vanguard uses.

Thanks. The only reason i put it there was in case this should be a factor in the portfolio allocation. Some added context. Both of us are conservative investors. Our original idea was to have 40/60 Stock/Bond allocation. In his book on asset allocation, Rick Ferri made a good point on taking a longer-term view with the portion money that is likely to survive retirement or will pass on as inheritance. I think about 25% to 30% of the portfolio qualifies in this category. So, we decided to adjust the overall portfolio to 50/50 and the plan is to stay with this allocation.

But I'm just curious, what's with the 1% allocations to VB and VWO? They seem out of place unless you are either slowly getting rid of them or slowly increasing them. Can you please explain how they came to be in your portfolio since they kind of stick out from the rest of your portfolio?
Good question. The idea was to use some money to overweight growth. So, I decided to put 1% for small cap and another 1% to emerging markets. In the end, I am not sure if the amounts are big enough to help either way.

When I have some tax advantaged situations in the future, I might roll them to market weight.
