I have had both and enjoy netflix more but it may come down what content you want. There is also amazon instant prime which has different content (and you get amazon free shipping).

Also look around for coupon codes for both netflix and hulu that give you a discount.

If the bands are set in your investment plan, stick to them. It is more about sticking to the plan than the actual numbers of the plan that makes it work. I would ask why you want to sell now? Any time you are up 10%, are you going to sell? If so, change your plan. If not, you are trying to time the...

After exams had finished on a Friday, a bunch of my college buddies and me were driving to fort lauderdale thru the night taking turns driving. On I-75 in the middle of the night, we see a car coming right towards us on the wrong side of the divider. We swerve just in time for him to miss us. As he ...

It means someone thinks that the S&P 500 should be at 900. And since the current value is 853, they think it is undervalued. But as previous posters have mentioned, it is an opinion and you will get a different opinion from every analyst. And you may even get a different opinion from the same an...

How to know when to sell TIPS and buy new ones

I have some TIPS that I bought a month ago that were at a YTM of 2.44% at the time. Now I see the yield has gone above 3.1% for TIPS on the secondary market so that got me wondering how to know when to switch out TIPS or if you ever should. The market value of the TIPS I bought has decreased so I wo...

Help with TIPS and rebalancing

If you have TIPS in your portfolio and plan on holding them to maturity , when you are determining the percent allocated to fixed income do you use the current market value of your tips or the adjusted principal (using the inflation factor). For example, I bought some 2.375% 20 year TIPS a couple we...

I did like you said when buying an 05 V6 Accord by using the edmunds site to email dealers around atlanta. Jefferson county's situation is why you take on more risk when you buy revenue bonds and do not buy general obligation bonds that are backed by taxes. There is another article on the coming defaulting of munis on bloomberg web site. Search for jefferson county. It was written on 10/3/2008. Sorry, no...

If you feel the 401K is not good, you should tell your HR dept (or whoever is in charge o fit). Unless they know the employees are not satisfied, they will keep renewing it each year.

Might also want to investigate if the 401K allows you to invest in your own choices.
