I am 45 years old. That seems old to me. After reading this thread, I do not feel as old.

Folks in their 60s to 80s now seem to have grown up in a fantastic time period.

I have been using the work BB as my personal cell phone for about 3 years. I work for a large company that does not have a policy against using their phone for personal use.

As another poster pointed out, you should review your company's cell phone policy to determine if you can use the work phone for personal use.

Re: Need new dehumidifier for cellar

If you have the money, I like the idea of going with Sante Fe, since the poster pointed out that it is made in the USA. If you are not willing to part with that kind of money for a dehumdifier, I would go with a unit made by Kenmore or Danby. I recommend Kenmore and Danby for 2 different reasons. I have had good experiences with Kenmore. I had a Kenmore dehumidifier that was purchased in 2002 and that was still working when I left it at the house when I sold it in 2010. Thinking dehumidifiers were pretty much equal, I purchased an LG unit 2 years ago. The LG unit died a month ago and I just bought a new Kenmore this weekend to replace it. Most of my friends that rode were involved in accidents on bikes. One hit the side of a car when it pulled out in front of him. Another friend hit a large dog that ran across the road. Neither ever rode again after their accidents. I had a pretty good accident but I was back riding as soon as I could replace the totaled bike. Eventually, I realized how dangerous motorcycles were. I will never ride again and talked my little brother out of getting a bike a many times.

We are approximately 65/35 stocks to bonds. We do not rebalance religously or exactly. We will likely remain at that approximate ratio for the next 5 years. After that, we will go a little more conservative at 60/40. Retirement is about 20 years away.

We keep our purchasing part of the investing flexible. When stocks were cheap a few years ago at the beginning of the recession, we were purchasing 100% stocks in our 401Ks for months. It made sense to do that as part of the rebalancing and so that we could buy as many stocks as possible while they were on sale.

Having the flexibility of having different types/flavors of coffee is nice too. I do not want to drink the flavored coffee like the wife does. She wants caffiene. I do not do caffiene.

Folks that drink a few cups of coffee at a sitting should stick with the traditional coffee makers.
