I am selling my personal residence after less than 2 years. It'll be a breakeven after fees and improvements to the property. When will I get the 1099-S? I assume one of the following. I tried to research but couldn't find a concrete answer. A) as part of closing documents B) shortly after close, ma...

Being the tenant in this situation, I helped my landlord find a tenant to pay higher rent and leave no vacancy. It was a win-win since he was willing to work with me. If he wasn't willing to work with me, I'd let him try to collect. He would probably win a case, rightfully so, but seems like a lot o...

Just bought a Rav4. The finance guy agreed to lower the rate if I went for the maintenance plan. I went for it, and then canceled the plan, and kept the lower rate :) I wasn't proud of it but he shouldn't be proud of selling me an overpriced maintenance plan either. What are your liquidity needs?

Can you get a lower rate going to a 15 year loan? Maybe that's a good compromise.

I invest in my taxable -- and it's not because I think I can beat my 3.5% interest rate, I actually don't expect that. It is because I want to have access to cash if I need it.

2) They are earning more money at work than they used to
3) They are mixing up their ability to save with how generous the market has been
