Other than an unusual expense every few years not covered by my pension and SS income stream my only withdrawals are my RMD. I do that while I'm doing my taxes for the previous year. That way I deal with all my tax stuff at the same time and don't have to worry about forgetting my RMD some year.

I switched 8 months ago and saved $20 a month. Conversion was seamless and cell service is just as before. I've not had any interactions with customer service either before or after so can't comment on that.

If you can't sell the wife on living without the adviser now, at least move to the low cost Vanguard funds. You can always take the next step a year or two later and leave the portfolio alone until you're ready to make investments decisions yourself.

Paid off mortgage 10 years ago so only credit now is two credit card paid off monthly with very low utilization. The credit score may have dropped 5 to 10 points over the years but has never been below 810.

Sharing a common structure and a common wall will not make your unit comparable to similarly sized homes in your area. Plus there is some percentage of potential owners who would not be interested just because it's part of a condo association. That also reduces it's market value.

It seems clear that they don't.

For sure they'll keep them open until after any tax reporting deadlines have passed early the following year. They need the account and transaction information to complete those reports.
