Re: How many miles/years do you keep your car?

New car - 5 - 8 years. Have had Hondas for years until I bought my first Subaru Outback. Love it, and will love it for another 5 - 8 years unless one of my grandsons gets it first. Then maybe I'll buy...drum roll...my LAST car? Does anyone think that way?

Re: VG using outsourcing to call me & I'm not happy

As I thought upon this some more, I started to wonder how well the outsourcing company (ComputerShare?) vets their employees. The person calling me (from what sounded like a personal residence) had my name and telephone number and knew I had a VG account. It doesn't take much effort from there to ge...

Re: VG using outsourcing to call me & I'm not happy

The accent comment was not meant to be insulting. It was just meant that she was hard to understand and also in spam email, the senders often don't use traditional English spelling...and my senses were alerted. The whole phone mail message seemed off.

VG using outsourcing to call me & I'm not happy

Last night I got a call from Canton MA , didn't recognize the # so didn't answer it. Voice mail message started with background noise of screaming children and noises like things being thrown or broken. Then a heavily accented woman said (read) that I should call 781.575.2000 about the upcoming VG s...

I'm sorry I don't know, but if you go to an Ace Hardware (sometimes they're REALLY helpful) or HD or Lowes someone might help you. Or a bedding store - sometimes nice people will help even if they know they aren't getting a sale.

Also, google it?

You must ABSOLUTELY read Dave Barry's book - "Best.State.Ever." It's about Florida attractions and all the sightseeing places and he describes them all - sometimes very tongue in cheek. First of all, the book is hilarious, but he mentions a place where there used to be sycronized (sp) swimmers and m...
