Vanguard emailed me the forms needed for the Simple to Traditional conversion years ago. If you make a third call perhaps ask if they will email you the correct form. Your daughter is fortunate to have your guidance. Best wishes.

if you like the American funds he has you in then changing back to the old way will save you the 1.35% annually. The expense ratios are higher than Vanguard however it will be much better than paying another load or 1.35% on top of the ER that you are doing now. I would start all future contribution...

$3400 premium savings but significant difference in out of pocket. With 3 little kids that $3400 can go quickly. Are you able to tell your total covered by insurance last year? Any more children planned so that labor and delivery charges may apply?

put the other 6K into a Roth. It is post tax contribution now (so no tax break) but if you can swing it you will have a source of tax free withdrawal in the future.

we have gone the cheaper target route also as long as they have UV protection and for fishing would prefer polarized. Kids don't notice the difference and at that age they didn't last long enough to even think about buying a $60 pair until well into teen years.

Virgin mobile has a deal at the moment where if you bring your iPhone you get 6 months unlimited for $1 a month. It’s $50 a month after that. Works well for teen iPhone plan if coverage in your area is as good as ours. Good luck!
