limo travel to nyc from nj

Hi,
Our grandchildren are interested in seeing the Museum of Natural History in NYC. We live near Princeton NJ and have not been to NYC for many years - near 80s both of us. Thinking of using a limo service to take 6 people to the Museum. Does that sound possible? Thanks.

If you want to take 4% per year and have $90,000 to live on, you will need $2,250,000
when you retire. From your post it seems you will not have that much and you'll have to work longer and maybe reduce your needed income. VFP doesn't compute.

Hi Bogleheads,
I recall there was a program that would show you the devolution of your nest egg due to RMD over your lifetime, given some average of stock market changes.
Any help for this question? Thanks,

Hi, Our home is now in a living trust, but happens we usually apply for a homestead rebate in nj. Further our nj income is now so low that we could apply for a "senior property tax freeze". But I think we are no longer the owners, but the trust is the owner. So we can't apply for these ben...

Considering a CCRC

Our son with a good job is in favor - lives 300 miles away.
For 1800 sqft we could get a small house for $600k and pay $6k/month.
Or we could get an apt for $400k and pay $5k/mo.
We have $2,000k and a $350k home to sell. What path is best?
Good health, no debt, both ~76yo.
