I have been enjoying this thread a lot, and have learned some good info. I've been using a Pilot Varsity myself recently, to test the waters and see if I want to make a bigger commitment. I have enjoyed the experience and do enough writing that I am asking for either a Lamy Safari or Pilot Metropoli...

Another vote for high quality single malt scotches.

I would also add books (physical or e-), and the occasional dinner at a nice restaurant with my wife.

I've had good experiences with both the Dorco blades and Harry's blades, and both are quite good on costs. Right now I'm considering venturing into safety razor territory to get a less irritating shave, but worried it might take up too much extra time to be worth it...

I just joined after lurking for the past few weeks. I was lucky enough to have read some of the recommended books and come to conclusions similar to the Boglehead philosophy, but it is becoming clear that this forum contains a lot more wisdom than simply about investments.
