Re: IPhone SE has been around a little while now, so what's the verdict?

I am very pleased with my iphone SE. I like it due to the small size. It is adequate for pictures I take I am not a professional at pictures. The only thing I note is that as a heavy texter and user at times of social media and phone calls the battery life is far less than what i had on the Iphone X...

Federal Farm Bonds

With bond yields so low , anyone invest in Federal Farm Credit Bonds ? AAA rating , higher yields , not as safe as Treasuries but backed by government.

Good points ? Pitfalls ? I know selling them could be an issue but if longer term investor a possible option ?

It is interesting how soft we have all become. If the power grid ever went down a few days or we had a major terror attack on the grid you will wish you had cash . We just assume all the ATMs and grocery stores will have power.

Re: Have you switched from Android to iPhone? What were the pluses and minuses?

Wouldn't you need a connection to the internet to use an ipod touch for directions in a car ? You would still have to tether it . For a while, I was using a dedicated Android phone in my car because CarPlay didn't yet support Google Maps or Waze. My primary phone was an iPhone. Along those lines - o...

Re: Have you switched from Android to iPhone? What were the pluses and minuses?

I think for most people it boils down to four issues: 1) Do you view technology as something worth paying a premium? If so , some don't mind paying Apple gobs of money . I have one of each for work and personal use , if I had a choice I wouldn't pay Apple for extra chargers, phones that slow down an...

Curious if anyone uses old pocket watches like Hamilton or Elgins or other railroad watches. I have one of each. The new watches are nice but not the same as the original.

Also isn't having a phone and pocket watch redundant if both are in your pocket and have to be fished out to check the time ?
