Besides all of the other negatives mentioned above about Bradford Pears, another reason to never plant them is that they are invasive.

For a museum, you could try The National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum in Leadville, CO. Also, there is the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens in Vail, CO. I used a combination of Roxul Safe'n'Sound insulation, QuiteRock sheetrock and Putty Pads (none of which are cheap, by any means) on our church bathrooms - and it has worked very well.

Cut some pieces of 1/4" hardware cloth (available at big box home centers) and place them just under the soil surface around the plants. End of squirrel digging in that area (also works good on voles).
