Want a good engineering school? If you have a 30 act score you can get in state tuition at ohio state in Columbus. My daughter is now a junior in ME and loves it. Can't beat a big ten school for undergrad. Also make sure that the engineering school is ABET certified or you are wasting your money.

Re: Best Financial Advice from Dad (in honor of father's day)

Best advice my father gave me was not necessarily financial. When I graduated college he told me that if I don't like my job quit. He had the same job for 30 years and always regretted it. This advice served me well as I ended up with my own business. Also I learned from him that passing on opportun...

Have had a good chunk of money in it for over a year and a half. I was skeptical at first and would be the first to get out of it If it didn't perform. All I can say is it outperforms. If you want it buy it. Enjoy it. Don't listen to the why don't you rent crowd. They will be the first asking if they can come visit you. Oh, and don't even think about renting it out. Bigger hassle than it's worth. Job st hire a house watcher for 60 bucks a month.

Put a chunk in schwa intelligent portfolio. Put some in a year and a half ago. It's been out performing the market.
Something about emotionless portfolio and rebalancing works. Plus there is practically no fee.

I like the idea of giving them a piece of the pie or enough incentives where the get a part of profits. It would be easiest to give them a percentage of sales where they do not need access to all financials as they would if they are co owners.
